General Terms and Conditions for Professional Education and Training
These General Terms and Conditions apply to shorter training programmes, workshops and other professional events organised by the Sigmund Freud Institute for Psychotherapy, Psychology and Mental Health (collectively referred to below as “training programmes”):
- professional lectures and modules within the Psychotherapy Propaedeutics programme;
- professional content in the field of mental health;
- training programmes within the KATIS system;
- experiential and other professional workshops;
- seminars, webinars, lectures and other shorter professional events.
1. General provisions
These General Terms and Conditions set out the rights and obligations of the organiser and participants in relation to registration, payment, cancellation, delivery of and participation in shorter training programmes, workshops and other professional events.
Training programmes may be delivered in person, remotely via an online platform, or in a hybrid format.
By registering for a training programme, participants confirm that they have read and fully accept these General Terms and Conditions.
The organiser reserves the right to change the programme, date, instructor, delivery format or other organisational aspects of a training programme where required for organisational, professional or technical reasons.
2. Organiser
The organiser of the professional training programmes is the Sigmund Freud Institute for Psychotherapy, Psychology and Mental Health, Trubarjeva cesta 65, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.
3. Types of training programmes
These General Terms and Conditions apply to:
- professional lectures and modules within the Psychotherapy Propaedeutics programme;
- professional content in the field of mental health;
- training programmes within the KATIS system;
- experiential and other professional workshops;
- seminars, webinars, lectures and other shorter professional events.
Training programmes and events may be delivered in person, online or in a hybrid format. The delivery format is specified in the announcement for each training programme or event.
4. Registration
Participants register using the online registration form published on the organiser’s website. By submitting a registration, participants confirm that they have read and agree to these General Terms and Conditions.
A registration is valid once:
- the registration form has been submitted; and
- the organiser has confirmed the registration.
The number of places may be limited. If all places are filled, priority is given to participants who registered earlier.
Participants registering for a training programme through the KATIS system must submit a registration both in the KATIS system and through the organiser’s online registration form.
5. Payment of the registration fee
The price of each training programme is published alongside its programme on the organiser’s website.
Participation is confirmed once registration has been successfully submitted and the full registration fee has been received. Upon receipt of payment, the organiser issues an invoice to the participant in accordance with applicable regulations.
Participants must pay the registration fee by the deadline stated on the pro forma invoice or invoice, generally before the training programme begins. If payment is not made on time, the organiser may reject the registration or deny the participant access to the training programme.
For training programmes delivered within the KATIS system and co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, payment may also be made after the training programme has ended, in accordance with the funding terms and procedures for the individual programme.
Failure to pay, or late payment, does not automatically constitute cancellation of registration.
In the event of late payment, the organiser reserves the right to:
- send payment reminders;
- charge statutory default interest;
- restrict access to individual content or sessions;
- withhold a certificate of attendance or other confirmation until all financial obligations have been settled.
All prices are stated in EUR.
6. Cancellation by the participant
Participants may cancel their registration in writing by emailing info@sigmund-freud.si.
Unless otherwise specified for an individual training programme, cancellation is not possible after payment has been made.
Another person may attend in place of the registered participant if the organiser receives written notice before the training programme begins.
7. Cancellation or changes by the organiser
The organiser reserves the right to:
- cancel a training programme;
- change its date;
- change the instructor;
- change the delivery format;
in the event of insufficient registrations, force majeure, illness of the instructor or other unforeseen circumstances.
If the date of a training programme changes, registrations will generally be transferred automatically to the new date. The organiser will inform participants of the change in good time.
If the organiser cancels a training programme, any registration fee already paid will be refunded in full.
The organiser is not liable for any other costs incurred by participants.
8. Online delivery
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have:
- a suitable internet connection;
- working computer equipment;
- access to the online platform;
- the basic technical skills needed to attend an online training programme.
The organiser is not responsible for disruptions to participation caused by technical problems on the participant’s side.
Links to online events are intended solely for registered participants and must not be shared with third parties.
9. Materials and copyright
All materials, presentations, recordings, content and other resources provided as part of training programmes are protected by copyright.
Without the prior written consent of the organiser or instructor, the following are prohibited:
- recording;
- photography;
- reproduction;
- distribution;
- public publication or sharing of materials with third parties.
Materials are intended solely for participants’ personal use.
10. Recording of training programmes
The organiser may record individual training programmes for the purposes of:
- internal documentation;
- quality assurance;
- providing registered participants with access at a later date.
Participants will be informed in advance if a training programme is to be recorded.
Participants may not record training programmes themselves without the organiser’s consent.
11. Certificates of attendance
After completing a training programme, participants receive a certificate of attendance if they have met the requirements of the individual programme.
For KATIS training programmes, certificates are issued and attendance is recorded in accordance with the rules of the KATIS system.
12. Protection of personal data
The organiser processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Personal data is used solely for:
- processing registrations;
- organising training programmes;
- communicating with participants;
- issuing certificates;
- accounting administration.

13. Code of conduct
Participants must communicate respectfully and professionally during training programmes.
The organiser reserves the right to remove a participant from an event in the event of:
- inappropriate behaviour;
- disruption of the event;
- offensive communication;
- copyright infringement; or
- unauthorised recording.
In such cases, the registration fee will not be refunded.
14. Final provisions
These General Terms and Conditions take effect on the date they are published on the organiser’s website.
Matters not specifically covered by these General Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
The parties will endeavour to resolve any disputes amicably. If they are unable to do so, the competent court in Ljubljana shall have jurisdiction.
